Wednesday, February 10th, 2010I’m sick and tired of receiving calls from people or businesses who don’t want to display either their phone numbers or their names, and where I live I don’t have the capability of blocking such unwanted calls.
The caller (as the intruder) is the one who bears the responsibility of disclosing who he/she is and who they represent, and to want to hide their identity is to be callous and cowardly, and that most definitely include businesses who should be more than willing to identify themselves if for no other reason, in order to stay in business.
Those who want to block their identity are cowards who do not deserve my time or consideration, and are NOT welcome to call me.
To Mandy: Been there and done that. I’m not willing to pay for my right to know who is intruding me in my own home.
To several of you: The DoNotCall registry only covers numbers in the US. I’m in Canada.

Monday, January 18th, 2010I need to find a reverse lookup by phone number, so I can look up a number that appeared on my caller ID with no name. I think it might be my grandmother, but i don’t know and can’t find out without paying 40 or 50 bucks. My mom said there is one, but she can’t remember the name of the website. Any info would be appreciated!
Something better than whitepages.com for reverse lookup?
Friday, January 15th, 2010Every now and then I get a phone call from a number I don’t recognize. I like to know who’s calling before I call back or if I even need to. I used to be able to use reverse number lookup on whitepages.com, but it seems more and more the number is available only through premium services. Is there a better site?
